Mac & Wild Review: The Venimoo Burger

Top 10 lists are everywhere. I Even have a Top 5 list of where to eat, Check it out.

In a bid to have more burgers and not fork out top whack all the time, I invested in a TimeOut Burger Box.
10 Burgers across London and 50% off for a meal for two. These include Honest Burger, Bleecker Burger, Burger Beyond and 7 more. Good Counting.

The issue I have/had is when to go and eat all the burgers. I have used the cards twice now and with the deadline of May 31 approaching fast, I need to get munching.

With time against me, I decided to book a  visit Mac & Wild last week. This was on the list of 10, and gave me a chance to try out somewhere new.

The Venimoo is the burger that has featured on many lists of best burgers in London. This meant I had to try it and see where it fitted in my own Top list.

The Venimoo burger is: Beef patty, venison patty, cheese, bearnaise and caramelised onions served on a brioche/seeded bun. Sounds glorious and a winner already. Did it deliver?

Well... first few bites in; it is up there. Rich, melt in the mouth, full of flavour immediately. After these first few bites I put it up there with Burger Beyond and even Bleecker.

The next few bites however, just seemed to be a bit meh. Still nice and tasty but not the continued thrill of the first few bites. Maybe the rich and deep flavour of the venison took over and meant the juicy burger joy was overtaken by iron filed heavy bites. It wasn't a chore to eat, but also not the delight I was looking for.

The Mac n Cheese Haggis however was a delight throughout and gives me a good reason to go back. Haggis in a Mac 'n' cheese. OH MY!

GOOD TIMES: The burger is tasty, first few bites very mouth watering

OMG: The Haggis Mac n'' cheese. OH YES!

WATCH OUT: For nothing, just book and go already! Although not a Top5 burger for me, still very tasty with added IRON.

If you like to eat burgers often, there is a problem all the time and that is that the weight of the items in it becomes unbearable, which causes a lot of things to fall on the clothes while eating. It always happens to me.

I love their burgers; they create amazing burgers, and their service is excellent; their patty is extremely juicy, although it is small; and their food is very tasty; keep it up.
