The Kati Roll Company

If you didn't know about this place, well after visiting it, you will feel like the only person who is not in the know.

I went to the Kati Roll company recently for a lunch time catch up with a friend in the know. I was expecting a quiet restaurant where we could catch up and chat.

Little did I know that this restaurant/takeaway joint was heaving and the place to be.

NICHE. Kebab rolls with over ten different filling options. The punters were here en masse. Putting orders in, some even phoning ahead and then waiting five mins to collect and go. Or in our case, eat in, be surrounded by loads of people waiting to collect their food, then go.

I think to make sure you are full up and not stuffed, two rolls per person is enough. We didn't go for any sides, but the potato chips look good and will help that belly feel satisfied.

The rolls I had were:
CHICKEN TIKKA ROLL Grilled chicken cubes marinated in yogurt and spices
SHAMI KABAB ROLL Minced lamb and lentil patty with herbs and spices

Both very tasty, but the green chili chutney on the side, gave it a proper kick and became the Dominant flavour for roll as a whole. This is the slight negative as with all the different options, the rolls did taste very similar.

Good times: Get a roll (any) and be ready for a kick from the Chutney

Watch Out: It is busy in there, be ready to queue and wait (only 5 mins)

OMG: Roll with it. Get the lamb roll.

These restaurants are not that bad, but they aren't really the best either. I feel like people are going to have a hard time eating at their place, and it is not really because of the food. What I mean by this, is that they have a really poor place. The tables are small, and it is blocking the ways for those who want to eat there. I hope that they improve their facilities, it is the best that they can do.
