I've been told I say "good" too much when describing food. So for this review I will try to avoid using it, but it will be hard as the burger was really GOoo, tasty.
Byron always introduce new burgers; be it based on events throughout the year, special occasions or just because they can. The story behind this was that one of the creators had experienced a similar burger many years ago at a theme park and so they had to bring the g£&d old days back.
The burger consists of a medium patty topped with cheese. Basic start and then from here the fun comes in: smoked bacon, an onion ring, jalapeños and a BBQ sauce. A more in depth report on the toppings and story can be found here.
I really enjoyed the burger. The quality of the Byron meat is always great. It tastes like good cuts and chunks of meat. The crisp bacon and onion ring add an extra element which creates a good crunch. The sauce and cheese make it slide down your mouth and makes sure that Byron keeps up its reputation as an awesome place to have a burger. Thank you byron.
I didn't say GOOD once! D'oh
I'm going straight for it. Definitely.
Why did Alex Ferguson chose David Moyes (DM)? To be fair to him, he had an impossible act to follow. However, the fall is unprecedented and comes as a big shock to everyone. As much as I hate to say it, ferguson was a great manager and this season has gone to prove that 100%.
My main issue here is with Moyes. I just cannot understand why he was chosen. Track record: None. I have read Fergusons book and he says he chose Moyes because he is a good man and has good character traits. These are rubbish reasons straight away. Let's look at the football; Moyes as manager of Everton didn't really achieve much. His highlight was a fourth place finish and a runners up medal in the FA cup. So no trophies and no champions league. All the big games he had to play, especially away from home ended without a win. Throughout his years, Moyes had to battle with relegation and to be fair to him this was all on a tight budget. At the end, Everton were playing a lot better but even then ended sixth. Again not an obvious to manage the champions of England.
Now at United he has overseen their worst start in years and after tonight's defeat to Olympiakos just shows he doesn't know what to do. When Liverpool and Chelsea won the champions league against the odds, they had managers who were tactically aware and knew the limitations and what was needed. I still feel that United will qualify and have the potential to get fourth, because that is what they do. But, united this season just look like they don't know what to do, or how to play. Countless crosses, an over reliance on an 18 year old Kosovan/Belgian/English player and an ageing defence who seem to be all leaving in the summer.
What is Moyes's plan. Cross at will? 4-4-2? Rooney the new captain? No one knows and it seems like the players don't know either. Fellaini; where is he supposed to play, Mata: is an exceptional player, but Moyes has no idea what to do with him. At Liverpool we have Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho and sterling. The united front four look just as good if not better (van Persie, Rooney, mata, januzaj) yet Moyes cannot get them to work.
This isn't a rant just because I'm a Liverpool fan. Moyes is overrated and out of his depth. His record before wasn't great and this has continued and this has all the hallmarks of when Souness took over at Liverpool.
My wish is for Moyes to be the united manager for a long long time. As it may mean a period of mediocrity for Manchester United.
A lot of the American cooking programmes I see focus on pulled pork and brisket. The process of slow cooking the meat, making sure it is tender and juicy whilst creating the crisp flavour and texture looks amazing. It is this chargrilled outer layer which looks so amazing and with this I got the burnt ends and pulled pork for lunch at bodeans.
Bodeans has an American feel to it and coupled with hockey and baseball being shown you have the sense of being in a diner with some fast food but good quality.
The food I got was burnt end and pulled pork with chips and coleslaw. It was tasty, filling and what was I was expecting. But this meant that I wasn't hoping for my best ever meal. Don't get me wrong, I did like it a lot but it didn't get me craving it desperately again. The barbeque sauce helped make it juicy but I wanted a more crisp taste, almost like a lamb chop which has been grilled on a barbeque. The chips were basic and didn't offer much extra as with the coleslaw. My friend had the same meat but in a sandwich and this to me seemed a much better option at almost half the price. I would recommend this and suggest it is what everyone should go for. The food comes out really quickly so get the sandwich, sample the good flavours and enjoy a chilled vibe.
I very much follow the crowd and this is what I have noticed to be hip and happening now.
-flappy bird: what the f@£k. A game which is so popular the creator/owner has taken it down. I've downloaded a similar version and although it is quite addictive it is not that great. Get over it people, Candy crush is so much better
- it's raining: luckily I missed the worst of it and my thoughts go to all those who have suffered. And now there are sinkholes. Say whhhaaatttt! We can't blame anyone, but have to understand that Mother Nature is the BOSS.
-I'm getting old: I'm now engaged and I can't run as much as I thought I could. I am quite fit but the consequences shall be felt for days. I have to finally let go of my dream of playing professional football.
- following from above. Wayne Rooney is set to get £300k a week. Wow. Wow. Wow. Same age, Rooney and I but just a few differences. I have more hair, he has more money. Has has two kids I have none. He plays for man united, I hate man united. I'm doing alright. SAME SAME, BUT DIFFERENT
-film season and oscars up soon. I still need to watch a few films, but thank god for airplane movies. Gatsby good, Gravity good, Thor okay, Rush good. Now just to watch the wolf, the slave and the hustle. My prediction: 12 years a slave to win best movie.
Until next months trend report, please follow reliable sources for advice and come back here for general nonsense. Basically come back for ME. Shayan.
Some of my ideas about the world. I did want to do this a while ago, so thanks for waiting.
THEORY 1: EVOLUTION is a CYCLE
Although we came from monkeys' we will evolve back into monkeys too. The Planet of the Apes is based on the truth.
Think about it: as we get older what happens. We get hairier; men and women alike, hair everywhere, ears, nose, moustache, places we never had hair before.
Next our spines bend, how many older people have you noticed seem to get smaller and smaller year on year. This leads to the gorilla pose.
THEORY 2: Animals are TELEPATHIC
This one makes perfect sense. How often do you see a group of dogs or cats sitting next to each other with no noises. Yet you know they are saying something to each other or communicating in one way or another. Cats only Meow to humans and dogs rarely bark at each other. Therefore they are speaking to each other telepathically. It makes perfect sense and you all know it is true.
