So I have finally completed the first month of the Insantiy workout, albeit one day late. As mentioned in a previous post, I am doing the average Joe version; i.e - I'm still eating and drinking what I like. So after a week of breaks and catch up I completed the last day of month one. I am sooooo happy that I won't have to do those workouts again.
Insanity is intense and makes you sweat loads. Doing it in my living room is hard but I have seen some results. My body looks a lot tighter but not that great in order to take a picture and show you. I'm shy! The workouts haven't got any easier although they are repeated from week one to four and the reason is because you have to push yourself harder as you progress. That means I am doing more but in turn suffering all the same. I do look forward to the days off. The scary thing is that I have a week of recovery which is still 6 days of sweating and then into month two. Now I have heard that month two is dangerous. I thought that the first month would prepare me but from reading reviews "I'm not ready" and more importantly "I am gonna get it" BAD. My review of insanity so far is that it is really good and something to try. I am surprised I have managed to do one month and still expect to fail in the next month. The theory is obvious and simple, hard cardio exercise six days a week. If you do this without insanity you will see results. However, watching a trainer push you makes a big difference and helps wih the guidance too. Wish me luck for the next month. JUMP - OFF

That is why I had to take up the opportunity to go see Nas as part of Advertising week last Thursday. I'm so glad I did, a great show and set by one of the best rappers ever.
Only downside to the night was that the bar service was non existent. The whole evening had great potential: Fabric, Nas and free drinks. Well, that was the promise so once inside the three of us ordered two drinks a piece because it was very busy and only one barman behind the bar. That first round was a wait of 10 mins. After those two drinks and some dancing we went back for more. This time we were waiting for 25 minutes and this time I was fed up and was everyone else in the queue; no need to drink, Nas was coming up. After last weeks drinking fiasco I was happy to be sober but also loved watching Nas perform! Snow again this weekend, we are no longer shocked. In London we were a lot luckier than those up north so it was business as usual. Which meant I relaxed in doors and watched sports and more sports. I also went to tesco and I think the guy on the tills started flirting with me, I didn't help myself by talking too much, but the guy called me charming and good looking. All if this whilst he was wearing a bandana. It's nice to be wanted but this time I was happy to get the f@£k outta there. I tried to, but the Tesco on Conley hatch has the unfortunate position of being next to the A406 so if there is traffic people will struggle to leave the car park. I waited 10 minutes in my car until some brave guy decided to leave via the entrance and the rest of us followed like sheep. New year has been good so far, keep on working hard and the results will come. Have a good year and Easter too. JUMP OFF Happy Norouz to all my family and friends. Have a great new year and may all your wishes and dreams come true. Worked hard, play hard, be happy, be strong!
Happy Birthday Ross! I hope you had a good and memorable birthday.
I hope the lasting memory isn't of me being sick- when will I ever learn. So out on Friday for a birthday and we were meant to go to Wahaca but thankfully ended up going for a pop up restaurant by the Hackney Dinner Society. Our friend knew one of the chefs and last minute we were invited to join. So once the birthday boy arrived (slightly late) we all went to the local off license got us ourselves some BYO and then on to the restaurant. We arrived slightly late so missed the first course but thankfully we didn't miss too much and the good food came. I won't go into too much detail but it was all very goods and very funny. Drinks were flowing, emotions were rising, oh and Mr Bean was there too. After the lovely food and four cans and extra drinks down we went on to a bar. I tried to be sneaky so I took two extra cans into the bar with me and being arrogant and slightly tipsy I opened one in the club. Immediately without taking a sip I was escorted out. Embarrassing and funny to say the least; after some negotiating with the bouncers about how nice I was they stole my two cans and let me back in. Basically one step forward two cans lots (that is the saying, right?). Ah well the rest of the night involved dancing, drinkingg and being sick in the cab. Happy St Paddys! Saturday, slightly hungover but still did my Insanity workout. 3 weeks down and my body looks practically the same. I have less of a belly and every day is a struggle but I am enjoying it. I should blog about something else. Ever week the same story. I got drunk. If this is getting boring let me know. All my blog readers (I know 3 people who read this)- if you are getting bored let me know. Until next week. Happy Iranian New Year JUMP OFF Good weekend away, Liverpool won, Man Utd and Everton didn't and no hangover. In relation to this Hangover 3 trailer came out as did Iron Man 3 and after seeing these two it still wasn't the best video of the weekend. That award goes to Taylor Swift and the Goat. Absolutely legendary- thank you friend for introducing this to me. Honestly after watching this there is not much else to say. Goodbye! |
