YOUR SOURCE FOR WHAT TO EAT

Last week of Insanity- Shaun T I will miss you

This is the last week of Insanity for me. I have enjoyed it, hated it, sweated all over it and what has defined it, is that I have done it my way. My way isn't the right or wrong way but I wasn't willing to make certain sacrifices. Food and Drink essentially. I am genuinely looking forward to this finishing and I will put some pictures up after it has finished. If anyone has any extra tips on how to lose the flab on the sides in four days let me know.

Shaun T is the trainer of Insanity and he is a real inspiration, what a guy and what a body. He talks to you throughout and advices you on what you need to do. He pushes you hard and I would recommend this workout for most people to try at least once. It does get a bit repetitive as you have four/five workouts which you do each month. However, in spite of knowing what is coming up it doesn't make it any easier and your body aches from the off.

I honestly don't think I have sweated this much in a month ever in my life. At times it looks a bit sexy but other times, I feel like a monster from a really bad X-Men cartoon. I would say Wolverine but he is cool. The lessons I have learnt from Mr Shaun T is that look after your body and push yourself to your own limit. Don't try and copy others, because everyone is different and it is silly to compare yourself to strangers. You know your limits and therefore you will know when you can go harder or when you can DIG DEEPER.

Insanity is a lifestyle and if you don't eat and live it properly you won't see great results. Ah well, at least I tried. Pictures coming soon, until then JUMP - OFF

Moaning about the tube. Typical

18/4/2013

I bumped into a friend a while ago and she mentioned that Thursdays were a bad day for the train and tube. Since that day, I've made sure i have avoided her and also i have noticed that she was right. I don't like to moan about overcrowding because it is not all that bad and there are other more serious problems in life. But this morning was another special day for TFL and unfortunately this is becoming all too frequent.

What surprises me is the amount of people stuck on the train, on their way to work at nine in the morning. This rat race is hard work, 1000s of people in a mission to get to work, with no added help from our transport system. What really pushed me over the edge was the queue to leave the station at Holborn this morning. There is one thing waiting an age to get on a train, but waiting ages to then leave is something more special altogether.

What can we do about it? Really there isn't too much we can do. Wake up earlier, cycle to work, move house, sleep at work. All these options are not what i want and not what i should have to resort to. I just want to scream and shout and let it all out.
That is my morning rant. It could be worse, we could be in Japan as below!

I am a golf master. Where is my green jacket?

Last weekend after some planning I finally played golf for the first time in well over a year. It was good to be back and my game has improved 0 fold. My first shot was shocking, shanked to the right and I thought straight away; this is gonna be a looooonnnggg day.

The improvements didn't come and I ended the day 31 over par. Awesome. To be fair if I had got 20 over par I would have been happy. Golf is a great way to have fun, socialise and also play some serious sport. Four of us went and Atul dominated, but that is because he practiced the week before. Sherwin and I got the same score because we are equally rubbish. And Dan, he is great and funny at the same time. His drive from the tee is incredible, so much power. Two words. JUMP-OFF.

That is how we do golf. The professionals play a bit differently and dress differently too. Note to all, Nike Air forces are not recommended on a golf course. Other than that we had no 14 year olds playing with us nor any cheating tigers, other than thatbitbwas exactly the same. An Aussie finally won a major but the belly putter looks silly. I say the authorities need to get rid of these as it makes the golfers look silly. That is the only reason why they should go.

So spring is here and with it we have sunshine and showers. I think it is better than the cold we have had and thankfully our roof and ceiling are now fine. Bring on summer and with it short shorts. See you soon.

Insanity: Everyday i'm Struggling

10/4/2013

I'm into the sixth week of Insanity and everyday is a struggle. Is this a good thing? Should i be getting stronger? Does my body even look any different?
The answers respectively are: Yes. Yes and My girlfriend thinks so.
Although i am still not showing you a picture as it is no good.

Insanity now has become very hard and intense where you are just waiting for it to end. I am sweating so much more, which at times feels as though it must mean i'm working hard, whereas other times i feel like it just means i am struggling more. Also the fact that i am still eating and drinking as i please does not help the whole process.

The intensity has increased greatly in this round and you really just have to listen to Shaun T and 'Dig Deeper'. When you are in pain and your body seems to have shut down, just push on. 'Dig Deeper' should be a motto for life not just for Insanity. Forgot 'Yolo' that is rubbish, it is all about 'Dig Deeper'. I have now said this 3 times in one paragraph, that is a new low for those of you who like good literature. But if you are reading this, well then i guess you already know about the quality of the writing here.

Spring is now here which means more daylight and hopefully some more sunshine. Make the most out of every ray and if anyone says it is too cold, then 'Dig Deeper' and slap them round the back of the head. We have just had six months of cold weather and snow, so enjoy the heat (10 degrees- lovely).

Bros night out was fun last week, but because we started early we finished early. In bed by 00:30, a paracetamol and a slow Saturday morning. Awesome start to the weekend then out again in the evening . I'm enjoying my weekends a lot nowadays, spending time with family, friends and my girlfriend.

Until Next Time. DIG DEEPER

Friday = Bros day

I have been looking forward to today for tooo long. Today the Sacki bros are going out for a messy one and we are going to start it off with a trip to Patty & Bun. I have been waiting to go again ever since I left the last time.

After that we will go to MEATLiquor just so that we can have their cocktails. This is the perfect way to start a Friday especially from 3:30pm.

The issue then becomes, where do we go after? And who will be the strongest to survive. The plan is to have a wicked time and wake up without a hangover. This will be tricky, ah well, we live and we learn. Or in my case we repeat the same mistakes and hope not to spend too much money.
