Premier League- changing predictions

30/8/2013

I should probably wait until the transfer deadline has passed but the season is already exciting and a few results have led me to think differently on what will happen. The main talking point from day one has been Gareth Bale and it now looks like he is finally on his way for £86m. That fee is a joke but it is not my money and who really cares about how much they spend. It is like monopoly money after all, unless you are a Glasgow Rangers or Coventry City fan. Oops!

One real reason I am writing this is because of Tottenham Hotspurs. They have got some great players in their team and I think the main factor in them doing well is their manager. Villas- Boas is  young but he is a young manager who knows how to win. The signings he has made this season and last I believe will mean that they can easily move on without Bale. I don't think they can win the league but I can see them challenging and for this reason I see Arsenal struggling to make fourth.
As well as this, although still early days, I can now see Chelsea winning the league. The purchase of Eto'o is a clever and amazing buy. He was one of the best players at Barcelona and is a proven winner and goal scorer. This coupled with the uncertainty at Man City and Man Utd, means that Chelsea will win. The tactics they displayed the other night at Old Trafford showed that Mourinho is aware of what is needed and when.

So after two games, Liverpool are second. I would take that now but I can also get greedy and want the top spot too.  Strangely enough for this weekend, I can see Liverpool and Utd drawing the game whereas Arsenal will beat Spurs too. I say this as it is a home game and the history is on their side too.

Still a long way to go. Wait until next week for more changes in my predictions.

So after reading a newspaper supplement I thought I would copy it and let you know what I have made over the last week.

There have been more posts recently about my cooking because I Assumed you were all fed up of burgers. I think I'm getting better at cooking and tried experimenting recently and I still love eating out too.

The pic above is of Laura's cooking. I went to play football whilst Laura cooked. That is how it should be, right? I'm only joking. It was really good, Morrocan chicken with cous cous, salad and garlic yoghurt.

Since then we have had all sorts and it has all been good. Friday we went to Toffs in muswell hill, which is great fish. Eating in is always better and the quality of the fish was awesome. The cherry on top after was the sticky toffee pudding (awesome).

From here, Saturday was my day to cook. I slow roasted a shoulder of lamb with garlic, seasoning and oregano. This was in the oven for three hours and was cooked perfectly. With this, I stole a recipe on fried potatoes from

A tv chef which was good and was a mustard/mayo dip with paprika and lemon juice.

Sunday: a day of football and boredom led to a vegetable soup and hummus. The food processor and blender were out all day and both were fun to make. I think it is all healthy.

An honourable mention must also go to Bone Daddies: Flesh and buns. A Japanese themed restaurant in convent garden and it is a great new plabe to go and invite me along.

P.S I finally have reached 10,000 page views. I think at least 1,500 have been by me. #hypehype

Premier league: it's back and I predict...

17/8/2013

After almost three months of boredom the premiership is back. The community shield and internationals over the last week have got me ready for the big day today.

The summer months bring with it memories and anticipation. On sky throughout the month you watch the season reviews of the past 15 seasons and as a Liverpool fan you just get a bit upset.

The anticipation comes from the over confidence that most Liverpool fans have every season. Usually this optimism is extinguished by mid September. But this season is our season. HA!

So my predictions for the 2013/2014 season are;

1: Man city- beast squad and now with a manager who I believe won't want to be centre of attention

2. Chelsea- very strong squad and Mourinho is one of the best manager in the world. Need a striker

3. Man United - no fergie = no good times

4. Liverpool - my blog and this is me being positive.

I don't care about the rest. But for relegation I am going for crystal palace, Hull and stoke.

What do you guys think?

Other notable mentions:

Spurs - good buys but always the nearly men.

Arsenal - a season of frustration and maybe Wenger may be the shock sacking of the season.

Everton - bitter and rubbish

I may change my predictions about four more times today.

Life is much more than food and going out. It is also about friends and happiness. Nothing makes us laugh more than a #dufnering.

Exactly. Sherwin is back and in all his Insanity glory. This craze is from the latest golf champion Dufner. I have no idea how it came about but please go on the Internet and check #dufnering. If it looks funny then it is funny.

Please do it and send pictures. Below is me and my belly.
