I won't start this with a cliche of how breakfast in the most important meal of the day. However, as a so-called foodie, breakfast, as with any meal should be a good one. I sometimes do rush breakfast when I haven't got time, but when I do have the time (and energy), I want my breakie to be memorable.

The breakfast craze has exploded over the years, where restaurants, cafes etc, can easily charge £10 plus for some eggs and more.

When they can make it as pretty as the pics here, then why not?

This breakfast visit was to Hopper & Bean in Winchmore Hill. An independent Cafe with two locations in North London, this was recommended to me by a foodie friend.

Hopper & Bean are all about being Locally Sourced and Crafted with Love. I understand the first part, not sure what the second really means. But, it is a good sound bite.

Options are ket to a good breakfast, but so is quality. People want so many different things and in so many different ways. Take eggs for example: Poached, Fried, Scrambled, Boiled.

I went here based on a recommendation and before I could get there food suggestions, I ordered their on Toast Option.
This is; Toasted Organic Sourdough served with a salad garnish and their signature betroot hummus. From there, you were able to choose your added extras. I went for Oak Smoked Ham, 2 poached eggs and Hollandaise Sauce. My wife went for a similar breakfast, with Gluten free bread and salmon.

As an FYI, the recommended suggestions were for The Full Hopper and also the Three-Egg Omelette. NEXT TIME.

The breakfast was tasty, the coffee was good and the although it was busy, I didn't feel rushed to eat and go. I think there were a few people around me, who were camped there for the day. A home from home and they have the food to keep you there too.

GOOD TIMES: Breakfast of course. Their hummus is subtle, yet very tasty.

WATCH OUT: even on a weekday during school time, this place was packed.

OMG: BREAKFAST
