As football gets exciting: Stop, time for internationals

One cup final out of the way and the league is getting exciting. Chelsea top by four point, Liverpool joint second and Tottenham only six points behind Arsenal. Congrats to Man city, who are still my tip to win the league are fourth but if hey won their two games in hand they will be top on goal difference. The win in the cup final will help them out massively in terms of confidence and I think the return of Aguero too will see then win.

So as it is all unfolding we now have to break for internationals. Thankfully it is just a mid week game and we resume the fun again at the weekend. The fun and excitement of internationals is only reserved for tournaments and summer times. England's game against Denmark will be watched by some, not many, tickets are still available and to be honest I'm looking forward to pancake day more. The hope of all fans is that their main players don't get injured but besides that the result is meaningless, so is the performance and who plays. I think if you ask most fans, they won't care too much about the internationals on Wednesday. England v Denmark doesn't get he hearts racing and in the middle of an epic title race, let's not get distracted by these internationals.

I've lost the whole point of this rant now, basically I find the international friendly games boring. I will be chuffed if we can win on Wednesday but if we don't I won't be too fussed. These games don't mean too much to the fans, a win would help the confidence but knowing England as we do, we will get to the quarter finals in he summer and then lose in penalties. Forever the optimist = Shayan.
