Badass Burger Review: a burger from Malta

Another burger review from Sherwin - this time on his holiday in Malta. He is starting to have more burgers than me.

So for my brother (mainly for myself) I tried a burger place on holiday in Malta. The burger craze is truly worldwide, or at the very least European. Every magazine and website had recommended Badass Burger as a place to try in St Julians, Malta. I had to find it. Oh there it is, a 1 minute walk from my hotel, how convenient.

I flew to Malta with my wife to celebrate our one year anniversary. Time flies but and what an amazing year with an amazing wife.

I digress.

We went to Badass Burger on our last day and for lunch we walked in and were taken straight to the top. The restaurant and seating area we were taken to was on the roof of the building so it felt like we were outdoors but it was covered up. A bar was in the corner too.

I looked at the menu and straight away you see this is more than a Burger place. The menu is quite vast with a whole host of burger combinations but they also offered chicken wings (various spices) and a range of starters and desserts. I went for the Madass Minis which is are 5 slider burgers with different flavours & sauces and a side of sweet potato fries. The portion of sweet potato fries were very generous. They had a good crunch to them and with a dollop of mayo on the side, they complimented the burgers really well.

Trying my best to remember the different variation of burgers and sauces, I can recall – Badass Secret Sauce, Thai Green Curry, Sour cream (I think) and a Salsa sauce too. I forget one but 4 out of 5 isn’t bad. All the sliders were ¾ bites which you expect and the each oozed with juiciness on each bite. I was a big fan of the Secret sauce and Salsa Sauce variations. Those were the two that if I were to come again I would go for the big version. Add on some bacon and cheese and bingo.

Thanks brother- you are making me jealous.
This time i will let you off for not inviting me- but next time i will be waiting.
