A lot of the American cooking programmes I see focus on pulled pork and brisket. The process of slow cooking the meat, making sure it is tender and juicy whilst creating the crisp flavour and texture looks amazing. It is this chargrilled outer layer which looks so amazing and with this I got the burnt ends and pulled pork for lunch at bodeans. Bodeans has an American feel to it and coupled with hockey and baseball being shown you have the sense of being in a diner with some fast food but good quality. The food I got was burnt end and pulled pork with chips and coleslaw. It was tasty, filling and what was I was expecting. But this meant that I wasn't hoping for my best ever meal. Don't get me wrong, I did like it a lot but it didn't get me craving it desperately again. The barbeque sauce helped make it juicy but I wanted a more crisp taste, almost like a lamb chop which has been grilled on a barbeque. The chips were basic and didn't offer much extra as with the coleslaw. My friend had the same meat but in a sandwich and this to me seemed a much better option at almost half the price. I would recommend this and suggest it is what everyone should go for. The food comes out really quickly so get the sandwich, sample the good flavours and enjoy a chilled vibe.
