Breakfast at Caravan - Exmouth Market

Sundays are made for eating out, especially for breakfast. You are tired, maybe had a big night or just want to be lazy.
Basically, On the 7th day, you did nothing.
Amen.

Based on this assumption I had planned to take Laura out for breakfast. I was not in the mood to cook breakfast and I wanted to get out of the house. Due to lack of planning most of the places I wanted to go were fully booked. So I went to Caravan in Exmouth market. This was not as a last resort but instead as a restaurant I had previously visited and was happy with.

As stated above, the plan was to have a hearty, lovely breakfast. To be looked after, impressed and satisfied and i can safely say that Caravan delivered in all areas.

The coffee was delightful, the bitterness to me made it taste like someone had ground the coffee that morning and the light creaminess made it also seem like a treat too. Only on a Sunday!

The menu offers up many delights for all lazy Sunday goers. For those who have been on a healthy run to those who want to stuff their fat faces. Think porridge and avocado on bread to a Caravan fry up or Baked eggs in a ragout with spicy sausages. You get me?

Laura and I both had two dishes in mind and luckily it was the same two. Who ever said opposites attract? The two we chose, were, Ham Hock Hash with a poached egg and the second dish was Cornbread French bread with avocado, bacon and rocket, with a paprika maple drizzled all around and over. Yummy.

Both dishes were hearty, yet not too filling. I did not have the feeling where I just wanted to go back to my Sunday slumber. Instead I was energised and when you get fed good food and have an experience like we had, there is a sense of achievement and fulfilment. The restaurant caters for all. From those who want to chill and read the Sunday newspaper to those who are experiencing a new side of London. The waiting staff am were on hand and helped bring a relaxed vibe to the area. Relaxed enough but on hand and you knew that you would be looked after.

We were happy campers. Sunday is a day of rest from all the hard word you have put in. Caravan is a place to reward yourself. Sit back make a simple decision over your dish and enjoy. Well, that is what we did.
