To travel is to eat and to eat is to travel. I didn't go far but I went to a new area for a burger. Brioche Burger in Green Street near Upton Park was my destination and Sherwin (guest blogger on lifeofshayan) joined me.
It was the launch went I got there and the pull was there for the crowd. 100 free burgers when the doors opened and this came with fries too. The queue was huge and I was lucky enough to go to the front and sit inside. The owner is an old school friend and I wish him all the best of luck. After the opening I am sure he will be fine and brioche burger a huge success.
A great selling point for Brioche Burger is its location and their use of HMC Certified Halal beef. In East London, the local population are now provided with a great food option and burgers are always welcome.
The Burgers we had was the Hand of the King burger. The patty was comprised of brisket, rib and chuck, recommended by Heston Blumenthal and the extra price spent on these cuts was definitely noticed. A soft patty, pink inside was what i wanted and along with this was cheese, sautéed onions, veg placed between two soft brioche buns. The onions for me were really good and added a new element to this and does set this burger apart.
The Launch was a success. 100 burgers were gone in one hour and i know that i will be back. The team here did a good trick and offered only a burger and chips for this launch. This tease and the promise of much more to come means that the potential is there. After looking at the menu i know what i will order - The Betty Boop Burger (two patties), Chicken Wings and Onion Rings. I would gladly have a portion of fries with these too.
