Burgers... Assemble. Or ensemble.
You already know that I love burgers. You already know that I have had some burger kits (3 to be precise).

This latest one, was a collaboration between Patty&Bun and Shake Shack.
So what is in this special 'Patty Shack' Burgers:
  • Patty&Bun’s signature beef blend in Shake Shack’s ’Smashed’ style patties
  • Shake Shack’s classic potato buns
  • P&B's pickled cucumbers
  • American cheese
  • Shake Shack’s caramelised onions
  • Smoked cheddar mayo
  • Ketchup and American yellow mustard
Sounds Good Right. Collaborations are definitely welcome right now.

The key to most cooking, but also a burger kit, is to plan and make sure everything is ready. I managed to get some help in this production. The chef and his sous chef had their assigned roles.

My role as Head chef was to make the patties (with cheese) and toast the potato buns beforehand.
Sous chef had to get the potato buns fully topped up (as above). This meant ketchup, onions, pickled cucumbers and smoked cheddar mayo.
The result can be seen below. A small, yet tasty burger.
I had to mention small, because after effort and cost, the burger went after a few bites. I am complaining a bit, but a sign of a good burger is the disappointment went it has finished.

My brothers and I were however expecting it to be a bit more memorable. As a collaboration between great burger places, it seems to take one step forward and two back. In the sense, that it wasn't two for the price of one, but instead just one okay-ish burger.

I could of done with two patties or two burgers even, to be a bit happier, but we live and learn.

An overall summary, it was a good try and good combo. However, on this occasion, I feel the hype was more than the delivery.
I'll see you both again soon, albeit separately.
