Hot Dogs were supposed to be the new trend in 2015, taking over from Burgers.
Looking back now, it is obvious to say that this didn't really happen, but Herman Ze German in London has successfully achieved in bringing us Hot Dogs and sausages as a whole to town. Herman Ze German is a fast food restaurant with good value meals. The German efficiency with good quality sausages is here to stay. How does it work? The menu gives you all the options and the waiter provides you with a pen. From here, all we had to do was tick what we wanted and give back the menu. No need to waste time reciting what you want or the waiter trying to remember. It's all on the page.
What is on the menu?
Sausages, salads and schnitzels. Laura ordered a hot dog and I went for the curry wurst (chopped up sausage in a curry tomato sauce). They have three types of sausage meat and these are the BratWurst (Pork and Veal) , BockWurst (Smoked Pork) and Chilli Beef (Pork, Beef and Chilli Beef). The sausages were very filling and i just about managed to finished the curry wurst and fries. The fries were standard but good, quite similar to McDonalds but a bit crispier. The sausage meat is good quality and the flavours and textures work really well. A sturdy Dog. Fast food with German Efficiency. I am not sure if Hot Dogs will be a big trend, but Herman is a good start and definitely a place to go for a sausage or two. As they like to say, their Wurst is the Best.
