A short football review this week, owing to the fact that I only have 10 mins left on my lunch break. We’ll start with the teams: Welly, H, Monz, Matt, Christopher Vs. Atman, Shane-boy, Dips, Nephew, Amiel Within 10mins, Team-Nephew were 3-0 up. However, as is always the case with 5-a-side football, a 3-goal cushion can be eradicated within minutes. Which it was. The middle 20mins of the game saw Team-Nephew open up an 8 goal lead. It is worth mentioning, seeing as he rarely does, that big Atman scored 6. The final third of the match was a cagey affair with Team-Welly making an unlikely comeback a distinct possibility. Alas, Welly was unable to captain his men to victory, Nephew instead enjoying leading his team to a 3-goal win. It should be noted at this point that the team names are dictated by which player shines most for their respective team. This week Welly and Nephew, unsurprisingly, were those influential figures. Apologies were received from two regulars who were unable to make the game. Paul and Scruffy. Their loss, missed a cracker. Individual performances: Welly – has the ability to take a whole team on by himself. Seen better from him than yesterday’s performance. Rinsed Shane-boy, hilarious. H – What’s happened to him? Used to be a very good player, recently average. Monz – good in defence, offers nothing else. Should stay in his own half. Cried like a bitch when Christopher didn’t defend. Matt – Very good player. Wish he was a regular. Christopher – scored some blinders against Atman. Mainly because the defence just watched him. Atman – Scored 6. Slid Welly when he was about to score. Above average performance. Shane-boy – Midfield meistro, week in week out. Can’t finish his dinner. Turned inside out by Welly. Played well. Dips – Twinkle toes. Scored good goals. Amiel – Only ever passes to Shane-boy. Scored less than he should have. Didn’t moan, much. Nephew – Bossed it. Personal highlights: -Shane-boy saving the ball with his cock, and not so much as flinching. -Christopher tripping on his own foot and claiming a foul. Always an event when Christopher falls over, as it seems to take 4mins. -Atman trying to run faster than his legs could move and falling face-first into the deck. Next week, new teams, new blog... (I am now 10mins over my lunch break)
