Good luck to all who are raising money for good causes.
Okay, well wishing over.
I'm all for raising money but those that are marking the new year with this dryathalon are looking for excuses. This seems like those that regretted a few decisions in 2012 and over the holidays think that by not drinking everything will be okay.
I tried this once ages ago and I didn't a achieve anything by it. The first day back drinking I got really drunk and felt really rough the next day. The one advantage was saving money and for those doing it now, save money and make sure you buy your boyfriend or girlfriend something nice for valentines.
For those that think drink is the cause of regrets must realise that it is not alcohols fault. The mistake/regret wasn't caused by drink; the alcohol just gave you the confidence to do what you already wanted to do. Like when people go on diets, don't be extreme, it is all about a balance. Just don't eat too much you fat s!&t.
I will donate at least £30 for those not drinking but please do not act like it is a great sacrifice or that you are all high and mighty. Good luck and we will discuss any issues you have that led you to think that drinking is evil in February.
