• LOVE FOOD, LIVE FOODIE •
Tapas is definitely the order of the day. It has been for at least a year the thing to do and five minutes of home for me, i have three places where i can get some good food. The joy of Tapas for me is the sharing element and the variety. The mediterranean spices, which cover southern Europe and north Africa just tickle my taste buds and the same happened at La Fabrica.
As with most new places, i crave to go as soon as it opens but become really lazy and then eventually go a couple of months after. I went on a busy Friday and luckily got a seat in the back. It is a nice cozy restaurant which seems to get bigger the further in you go. The dark setting make it feel quite mysterious but also as though you are out enjoying a mediterranean evening minus the Sangria.
The things I love most about Tapas is the sharing element and the variety in dishes. From smoked aged ham to the grilled squids it all tastes so good. We ordered three dishes each and this was more than enough, but i still wanted some more. This wasn't because i did not eat enough, but just as i had wanted to eat more food. The Pan de Catalan, which was bread with ham and olive oil looked lovely and was recommended by many reviews i had seen before arriving at La Fabrica.
The squid in the picture above was cooked well and with the garlic sauce it made it a great dish. The one dish that i was disappointed with unfortunately was their heuvos (eggs) dish. The whole dish was cold and lacked any seasoning, so this upset me on an otherwise good evening. I will be going back and hopefully soon. Tapas is the one for 2015 - end of discussion.
