• LOVE FOOD, LIVE FOODIE •
Going on holiday is a life treat and pleasure. Getting away from the winter cold in London, makes it even more worthwhile. This trip was to the Canary Islands and specifically, Lanzarote. The furthest northern island of the Canaries, Lanzarote still promised warm weather, sunshine and most importantly, time off work. I was aware that the weather wouldn't be great, but I wanted to relax. So off we went, Laura, her dad and I to relax and get some sun. We opted for just bed and breakfast in order to be able to explore the cuisine in Lanzarote. I was on the case, with regard to food and used TripAdvisor and duly listened and went to the no#1 rated restaurant immediately. Just three days after the #10burgers10hours challenge, I was having another burger. A special with chorizo. It was good. Lanzarote is quite a small island and be staying in Arrecife, we were in the middle and therefore a good location to see the sights. We took a tour to see the cave and old town and this was about a four hour round tour. I would thoroughly recommend it. The food in Lanzarote was good and we tried a fair bit. Some guarantees daily were Croquettas, Jamon and lots of seafood.
Using TripAdvisor as our guide, we went to the views and reviews of tourists everywhere. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurants-g187478-Arrecife_Lanzarote_Canary_Islands.html We followed our guts, hearts and bellies too, but definitely a good foodie holiday.
