Some of the people dressing up are professionals such as Yaya Han and Tabitha Lyons and they have made a living by bringing comic book characters to life. The people who came all loved watching these people and being part of the experience. Book signings, sketches and the chance to take your picture with a superhero who just some of the reasons why thousands of people showed up. Exhibitors were there too, selling comic books and many accessories, clothing and toys. It was a tiring weekend which started 8am on Friday morning and finished at 10pm on Sunday night. Looking back though, i will probably do it again next year. The Zombie above, provided me with a lot of entertainment over the weekend. He was hired by a company called A Place in Space, (comic sellers) and they had Charlei Adlard, the artist for the comic book of The Walking Dead. I was tasked with looking after his queue for signing and sketching and these zombies were paid to scare people for two days. The look on the faces of kids and adults was hilarious and there was a lot of screaming going on. The convention is getting bigger and bigger and movies such as the upcoming Avengers one, will increase its popularity. People love to dress up and with all that is going on in the world, it is fun to step away from reality and indulge in a bit of cosplay. if i had to dress up as anyone i think Spiderman would be a good option or even the Hulk.
Who would you dress up as?
