MASH - Modern American Steakhouse

Modern American steak is appealing enough. When there is also Uruguayan, Danish, British and Australian you then start to believe you are in someplace special. From the decor to the food, MASH was a great dining experience and very tasty food. A bit pricey (very pricey) but good steak for all.

So the premise of this is Steak. Modern steak in a very fine setting and a strong Danish influence. The American presence is the size of the steaks, big cuts of quality meat. Added to this is the Danish dry aged beef and being started in Denmark this is a must. Although i didn't order it my brother did which helped me avoid the dreaded FOMO.

The steak (the reason for our visit) was very good. I won't go into too much detail about our prawn starter because it wasn't great. However the steak was something that I was very happy about. I went for the Wagyu and it was good. The Kobe style beef from Australia was juicy and tender and cooked well. A dash of sea salt on top made it that much better too.

My family went for other options such as the American rib eye and the Danish rib eye. These were both very tasty and the recipients of these steaks were also very pleased. They both had that extra chargrilled flavour which gave it another layer of flavour.

I also asked for another perspective of our meal and you can see a concise summary below: Brother 1
Venue – excellent
Drinks – average
Steak – wagyu disappointing – but others were excellent
Sides – above average
Price - ouch
Service – needs to learn english

Good service and great steak with sides. This choice leave you slightly confused but take my recommendation, the Long Bone is awesome! The Danish rule.

I agree with most of this, except i did like the Wagyu a lot. It was a full on meal and we were all stuffed. The desert menu didn't look that appetising either which was a good save on some money. But by that stage what difference is another £10?
This is a really good steak restaurant and I would put it on par with Hawksmoor and Buen Ayre. Good steak, good flavours and friendly portions. They sMASHed it. Get it!
