No football predictions this time round, just hopes and prayers. After a great weekend for Liverpool FC I finally can start to believe that we might win the league. It's now the business end of the season and Liverpool are involved in the title race and are actually in a really good position. Like many fans of LFC I don't want to get ahead of myself, because as it stands we have not won anything yet. Our aim was to finish in the top four and touch wood that is looking very likely. But as AC Milan found out in 2005, things can change very quickly.
Yesterday's result against Spurs wasn't too much of a surprise but it was a statement. Talk of pressure has surfaced all week and this was evident in the previous game against Sunderland, however the early goal yesterday changed all that. One thing that i have noticed is that this season, bar the Arsenal versus Liverpool game which Arsenal won 2-0, Liverpool have not been dominated against. This team that Brendan Rodgers has moulded has not allowed the opposition to create constant pressure and we have made good teams look very average in the last few months. This coupled with the SAS partnerships means that Liverpool always provide a threat going forward. At this moment we can believe. The older fans are being optimistically cautious, while the younger fans are being bold and brave. Based on form and results why shouldn't they be; the electric form of Suarez and Sturridge has meant that Liverpool have scored 16 goals in their last four games. Sterling, after the first half of the season slump has been in incredible form and has matured so much since December 2013. Yesterday against Spurs, each player performed and easily deserved 8 out of 10 for their performances, and if they continue this then you never know. From 7th position to 1st place and champions is practically impossible and the fact that I haven't said "next season" and we are now coming to April shows the progress Liverpool have made. The signs are looking positive and our fate is in our own hands. If we fall short, we should not view this as a failure nor the whole season as a major success. Teams should always aim for first, not fourth. However, the steps are important and after many years without champions league football that top four is vital for the continued success of Liverpool Football Club. "now you're gonna believe us... we're gonna win the league" It could happen but as results showed these last few days, anything can happen. Let's enjoy the ride.

Hopefully we will silence the haters. It's about time we won the league! Let the media ignore us- it's better to be an 'underdog' in this battle despite being on the best run of all the big teams at the moment.

One game at a time as they say. If we keep this form then you never know.
