"You get me, yeah". I am hearing this more and more, especially from the youth of today. Sometimes what you hear is shocking and I am mocked at times for mumbling, but that is far better than saying, "like" all the time. Even more so when you aren't comparing it to anything or actually describing something. I am guilty of this at times but the frequency with which other people use it is appalling. What language are they teaching at school? English? Street? I think it is scumbag language. Imagine if my blogs were written in a similar vein. "So I went and had a burger yeah and there was like beef which was good yeah. The bacon was like well good, proper bacon like flavours. I will definitely come back if I'm like in the area. You get me?" Speak English Maria Elena, speak English.
