Premier League 2014/15 Predictions- Man City again I think

11/8/2014

As a Liverpool fan I still see 2013/14 as a missed opportunity but an amazing season. So close and yet we slipped up (I meant that). The best and worst part of football is that you have to move on quickly. Pain and hurt can quickly change, fortunes go up and down and most definitely round and round.

My predictions last season were based on the Mourinho factor and soon after changed to the Money factor and Man City. For these two reasons again I have to choose my winner for the upcoming season as Manchester City. They won the league last season having the best squad and even that was after many dodgy results (Aston Villa away, Cardiff away, Sunderland at home). But then all teams have these freak results. Basically, Man City will win as they have the best squad. A more solid line up and a rejuvenated Jovetic will fire city to win the league.

The other club, Chelsea will run them close and Mourinho is a tactical master but I think his prowess is waning and therefore will lead to a second place finish. The return of Fabregas and the unpredictability of Costa doesn't seem so sure to me and therefore will not lead them across the finishing line. Terry was
awesome last season but age is catching up and strikers will find it easier against him.

The rest of the bunch are too close to call and I have no idea what will happen. The rest are grouped together as Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham. I'm sorry Everton but you had your one season now back to the Yoyo-ing fun, as good as Martinez is, he did lead Wigan to relegation.

Spurs with a new manager and players who have a point to prove will have a great chance of the top four. As will Arsenal and Sanchez and Van Gaal at United. Liverpool with the loss of Suarez have raised their own expectations and with that by being so close it is imperative that they maintain a challenge but
more importantly stay in the top four and the champions league for more than one season.

 So overall:

1 - Man City
2 - Chelsea
3 - Arsenal
4 - Liverpool
5 - Man Utd
6 - Tottenham.

Relegation- Burnley, West Brom and Sunderland.
