You hear about it, you read about it, you know what you have to do. EAT IT.
The Clove Club, next door to Shoreditch Town Hall is one of the best restaurants in London and this was shown with its recent award of a Michelin star. Based on the raving reviews and exciting menu I decided to book this for my 13 year anniversary with my wife.

The menu has a few options for sit down meals of; five courses, seven courses, ten courses or alternatively there is the bar!

We went for the 10 course tasting menu, why wouldn't we? Maybe because of the price point at £110pp. However, I feared FOMO and it was a special occasion.
"The Clove Club opened in March 2013 in Shoreditch Town Hall, East London. The restaurant is named after the original supper club that brought our founders Daniel Willis, Isaac Mchale and Johnny Smith together in 2010. We serve modern British cooking – thoughtful, precise and elegant food in a relaxed and informal setting."

At The Clove Club we serve a tasting menu that highlights the best produce we can source from across the British Isles, with ideas and inspirations from around the world."

This restaurant has been around for a while and its a hot pick, so if you wish to go, BOOK IN ADVANCE! A LOT IN ADVANCE!!!

So what was included in the 10 courses. Quite a lot; thanks to my hazy memory and taking pictures of my food, below is a summary of what Laura and I gobbled up.
Snacks to start of haggis balls, chicken feet with parfait, crab tarts in a skull and fried chicken on a bed of rosemary. This wasn't even the start of the 10 courses. THANK YOU Clove Club.

The ten dishes in some sort of order were:
  • Seared Mackerel
  • Anchovy and Broth
  • Monkfish
  • Satsuma and Truffle
  • Scallop and Squid Ink
  • Lamb rib
  • Consume pheasant broth
  • Venison
  • Dessert ice cream with potato
  • Selection of chocolates and cakes
I think that was all of them, I definitely haven't captured what else was on the plate, but you can see the selection of pictures below and believe me when I say. Each course is a wonder.

So at £220 not including drinks (we were also given a pitch on paying an extra £40pp for truffled risotto), would I come back........................ YES, in simple terms! One hitch would be the pricey price so I would wait a few months to collect few more payslips first. Also, the fact that the menu changes frequently, keeps me excited and wanting to go back.

A great way to celebrate
GOOD TIMES: The whole night and every dish
WATCH OUT: Your wallet will be a lot lighter
OMG: 10 courses, the pheasant consume was special
