• LOVE FOOD, LIVE FOODIE •
It's in our lives again, what did we do to deserve its presence. I think neglect on my behalf has forced its return. Last time round there was no snow fight or snow man, so if I have the time I have no excuses. And if for the rest of the year we get glorious weather then it will be because I have satisfied the weather gods.
The last seven days were good days with the family. As always there are some who are just frustrating but this time round my cousin was here. We didn't do anything crazy but we just had some quality time together and that was needed. Now I just need to go to Australia and visit him and to see some sights too. We had good food, good laughs and it always is special when it takes just a hug and a welcome hello to click again.
As well as family love which is unconditional I also received some love from the missus's parents. The 'in-laws' came round which was nice and showed a lot of kindness and warmth which is greatly appreciated. This love feels nice and earned and it goes two ways as they are lovely people. A Sunday roast together at the pub was needed and then the snow.
Thankfully after all the rain and snow, no leaking or drips from my amazing roof. BTW the roofer from last week who was so good he didn't have to see it, quoted me £5000. My lady friend advised me to send an email back saying 'you're having a laugh'. I didn't but that is one cheeky roofer.
Plan for next week, sort out my life, view some flats and curry night. Most importantly this time if year is valentines day.......
No chance it's Pancake day. Syrup. Butter. YUM
